Sometimes, you need the distance between two moving bodies as a function of time. On the Home tab, in the Measure group, the Distance command gives you the distance between two bodies at the time of modeling. On the Analysis tab, in the Scope group, click Gap to calculate the distance between two moving bodies as a function of time from the simulation results.
[Analysis] – [Scope] – [Gap]

In the Scope group, the Gap command provides two functions: Gap and Interference.

Use the Gap function to calculate the distance between two bodies when they are apart. If the two bodies are in direct contact, a "0" is displayed as the result.

The Interference function displays a "0" when the two bodies are apart and a "1" when the two bodies are in direct contact.
