Sometimes, the modeling method, modeling rules, or other restrictions can cause the analysis to be carried out incorrectly in MBD for ANSYS. If this occurs, check the following items to see if the model was created properly.
1. Do two or more geometries share the same name?
- Solution: Use unique names for each of the geometries in the model.
2. Does the storage path (project folder path) of the MBD for ANSYS model contain a character that is not an English letter?
- Solution: Ensure that the folder paths to each model include only English letters.
3. Did you save the model before performing the analysis?
- Solution: Save the model (project) before performing the analysis.
4. Did you assign a flexible property to a geometry?
- Solution: In the Details window of the geometry, change the Stiffness Behavior value to Rigid.
5. Did you include a connection object in the MBD for ANSYS model?
- Explanation: MBD for ANSYS does not require connection objects. If a connection object is generated automatically in MBD for ANSYS, the analysis may fail.
- Solution
- Delete all of the connection objects in the model.
- Go to Tools >> Options >> Mechanical >> Connection and change all applicable options under the Auto Detection menu to No.
- In the Mechanical Module, change the Generate Automation Connection on the Refresh option to No.
