If you encounter General Errors (errors due to conflicts with installation prerequisites) while installing RecurDyn or experience malfunctions, crashes, or other software issues while running RecurDyn, you need to uninstall and then reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Libraries.
To resolve this issue, please follow these steps:
1. Open the Control Panel (click Start, type appwiz.cpl, and press ENTER).
2. Uninstall all components labeled Microsoft Visual C++ 2xxx Redistributable Package.
3. Download and install the latest version of each Visual C++ redistributable package from Microsoft's page. ( Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable latest supported downloads )
Note
- Install the latest version for each version.
- On a 64-bit system, both x86 and x64 versions are required. On a 32-bit system, only the x86 version will work.
