You can extract individual frames from an animation playing in RecurDyn by using the Extract function.
These frames are saved in new model files. Using the Extract function allows you to save the position or orientation of a body that is affected by unexpected forces, such as a manual interruption or contact forces, or to start a simulation right before a certain situation occurs, for example, before two bodies make contact.
To use the Extract function to save the model at a desired time, perform the following steps:
STEP1
On the Analysis tab, in the Animation Control group, click the Pause button to pause the animation at the desired frame.
STEP2
In the System Button menu, click Extract and save the rdyn file in the desired path.
* Note: If the extracted model contains an expression defined as time, then you must adjust the Time Offset setting of the model. ([Home]-[Model Setting]-[Simulation])
* Note: In the recent version of RecurDyn, Time Offset is automatically set. ([Home]-Setting-[Simulation] - Time Offset)
