If you edit the material properties of a model after simulating it in RecurDyn, the animation controls will be deactivated, making it impossible to see the analysis results.
The animation controls are disabled because modifying the material properties changes the model, so subsequent simulations will produce different analysis results. In other words, the animation controls remain enabled until you change a property that will affect the analysis results.
So, what if you want to see the animation from a previous analysis result after modifying the material properties? For this, you must use the Import function. Click the System Button, and then click Import. Then, select the desired RecurDynAnimation data file (*.rad), and click Open to play the selected animation.
To simplify this process, RecurDyn V8R2 provides the Reload the last animation file button. If the animation controls become disabled when animation results are available, click this button to import the latest animation.
