RecurDyn can analyze a flexible body and displays the contour results in an animation.
At certain frames in the animation, the contour results are often displayed in the same color, making it difficult to analyze contour properties, such as stress distribution.
This problem occurs because RecurDyn determines the display color of the contour results based on the minimum and maximum values that occur throughout the entire simulation.
If the results are relatively close to the minimum value, then the contour is displayed in the Min color (blue by default) in the animation.
If a certain animation frame contains values that are relatively low compared to the rest of the contour results, then you can adjust their colors and analyze them more effectively by selecting the Show Min/Max checkbox and specifying the user defined minimum and maximum values in the Min/Max Option of the Contour dialog window.
Step 1.
On the Analysis tab, In the Animation Control group, determine the animation frame that you want to edit and write it down.
Step 2.
Click the Contour icon. In the Contour dialog window, select the Show Min/Max checkbox, and then click OK.
Step 3.
Enter the number of the animation frame wrote down in Step 1 to go to that frame.
A tooltip appears to show the min/max values of the contour results at the specified frame.
Step 4.
In the Contour dialog window, set the Type of Min/Max Option to User Defined, and then enter the maximum value that you obtained in Step 3 into the Max field.(If necessary, click Calculation. You can clear the Show Min/Max checkbox.)
Click OK, and then check the contour results in the selected animation frame.
