After running simulations using MBD for ANSYS (Multi-Body Dynamics for ANSYS), sometimes a license error occurs when the Viewer is executed.
This is because RecurDyn Viewer requires a separate license.
A license error can occur when a user tries to execute more RecurDyn Viewers than the number specified in the license file.
In this case, there is a couple of workarounds as shown below.
Simply speaking, users can import MBD for ANSYS result files to the existing RecurDyn Viewer.
Workaround #1
After running the Import command in RecurDyn Viewer, click to open MBDResult.sdk in the folder where the MBD for ANSYS result files exist.
Then the model, animation, and plot data are imported automatically, and several results can be reviewed within one RecurDyn Viewer.
Workaround #2
Open the path where the result files exist, and drag MBDResult.sdk to RecurDyn Viewer directly.
Caution
The MBD for ANSYS result file name is always MBDResult. It overwrites the result files, so, those existing result files must be backed up to a different folder before simulation to conserve them.
