One of RecurDyn's major advantages is to use MFBD (Multi Flexible Body Dynamcis), which allows to easily create flexible bodies and perform dynamic analysis.
Here is a brief explanation about how to create and analyze a flexible wire easily.
1. Basically, a flexible wire is created as a beam element. For this, create a 2D Curve using RecurDyn Body Edit Mode.
2. Select the created 2D Curve and enter the Mesh Mode to start Auto Mesh. At this time, perform mesh using Beam element.
3. In the Material Property Window of the generated beam body, enter the Properties based on the wire you desire to analyze.
4. Finally, model the contacts and constraints according to the analysis conditions for the wire created. (See example video)
