While simulating a model in RecurDyn, you may wonder how long it will take to complete a simulation. If you don't know when your simulation will end, you cannot know if it's safe to leave your computer to eat something or do other tasks.
To solve this problem, RecurDyn displays the progress rate and the elapsed time to help you estimate the time remaining to complete the simulation. The status bar at the bottom of the RecurDyn UI shows the progress rate and the elapsed time of the simulation.
If the progress rate is 20% after 3 minutes have elapsed, then you can estimate that the total simulation time will be 15 minutes (5×3 = 15). Since 3 minutes has already elapsed, you can estimate that the simulation will end in 12 minutes.
* Of course, in some cases, the progress may be slower at the beginning of the simulation than later in the simulation. In other cases, the progress may be faster at the beginning of the simulation than later in the simulation. However, in either case, the Elapsed Time can help you estimate the time remaining in the simulation.
