The easiest way to convert a flexible body to a rigid body with RecurDyn is using G-Manager.
After executing G-Manager, select the target flexible body, then the below dialog box pops up.
If the flexible body is generated with RecurDyn's mesher, 3 options are available.
1. Convert the flexible body to a shell body
Shell is a body that has the same shape as the flexible body, but literally has only a shell (its volume is not filled).
It can be used as a rigid body even if it has some limitations such as 'Boolean operation is not supported'. 'it doesn't have smooth surface.', ...
2. Convert to the original rigid body
If the flexible body is meshed with RecurDyn Mesher, the body has the original rigid body information. So RecurDyn can return it to the original rigid body.
3. This is the option to swap the flexible body to a specified CAD file.
If the flexible body is generated from a external mesh file, only option 1 and option 2 are available.
For your information, even if you don't use G-Manager, you can convert a flexible body to a shell body using [FFlex Edit] - [Export] - [Shell]. But using G-Manager is easier and recommended.
