Important New Feature and Improvements

Particleworks 8.0 has been released.

Multi-resolution

This method divides the simulation domain into two domains: Coarse and Fine. By selectively placing fine particles in regions that require high resolution or are narrow, the computational load and memory consumption can be significantly reduced.

MPFI

This method implicitly calculates the pressure and viscosity terms of the Navier-Stokes equations simultaneously, without separating them. This technique is particularly effective for problems characterized by low Reynolds numbers and high pressure, such as the flow of high-viscosity fluids.

Snow model

It provides the ability to model snow as a Bingham fluid (a fluid that does not flow until subjected to a particular shear stress). This enables calculations related to snow compaction behavior, including snow deposition and compression.
