To create an RFlex body in RecurDyn, an RFI file (modal data of a flexible body) is needed. RFI files can be generated from third-party modal analysis softwares (NX Nastran, ANSYS, ANSYS/DesignSpace, IDEAS, and MSC/Nastran, Autodesk Simulation Mechanical and Altair OptiStruct) In particular, RFI files can be generated from NX Advanced using its UI of NX (it uses NX Nastran).

The movie below shows how to generate an RFI file from a specific part of the RecurDyn model using NX Advanced Simulation (NX Nastran).

You can find a tutorial that shows how to generate an RFI file using RFlexGen in the RecurDyn environment.

Please refer to this introduction page of RFlexGen .

Please refer to the FAQ below.

How can I include stress and strain shapes in an RFI file generated by NX Advanced Simulation? (RFI file generation using NX7.5)

If you use NX Motion or SimCenter Motion (with RecurDyn solver), you also need to use RFI file, so that you need to use NX Advanced Simulation - NX Nastran solver.
