Sometimes, small faces (fillets), edges, or holes in the original CAD geometry are not necessary for CAE simulation. But those small features can have a bad effect on the mesh quality. For example, dense elements must be created around the small holes, but they are not necessary unless you are interested in the very effect of the holes. In this case, those holes need to be ignored to create a high-quality mesh.
You can use Delete Face, Delete Edge, Fill Hole in the Geometry tab of RecurDyn Body Edit Mode.
1. Delete Face: Delete unnecessary faces
2. Delete Edge: Delete unnecessary edges
3. Fill Hole: Fill unnecessary holes
Note: Geometry Refinement
If you use Auto Mesh, you can use 'Remove Small Features' or 'Remove Edge' in the Geo. Refine dialog box (Geometry Refinement) for a similar effect.
But it doesn't affect Advanced Mesh, if you use Advanced Mesh, please use Delete Face, Delete Edge, Fill Hole.
Please try these functions to create a high-quality mesh.
