While modeling in RecurDyn, you can orientate the view by using View Control functions such as Translate and Rotate. The Rotate function rotates the view around the view center. To rotate the view around another point, you must first use the Translate function and manually set a new point as the view center.
Now, the View Center function makes this process easier by changing the center of the view in a single function. After activating the View Center function, you can click any point in the model to set that point as the view center.
You can use the View Center function to easily rotate the view around any point on the model.
You can also use the View Preset function to register frequently used view centers. To register the current view center, open the View Preset dialog window, and then click Add. To apply one of the registered View Presets, click the corresponding button in the Move column. The view center will shift to the point saved in the selected View Preset. The View Preset saves not only the view centers but also the settings configured in the Custom View dialog window.
The options in the Custom View dialog window allow you to define view points, view vectors, and zoom scales. These settings are saved in the View Preset for easy access.
You can also import or export a Custom View settings file.
