RecurDyn V8R5 and V9R1 do not support the creation of analysis result animations as video files using custom codecs.
The following codecs are supported when recording and saving simulation result animations as video files in RecurDyn.
(It may appear differently depending on the computer environment.)
- Cinepak Codec by Radius
- Intel Indeo(R) YUV codec
- Microsoft Video 1
- Uncompressed.
- Google VP8 Video Codec (Recommended)
In particular, using 'Google VP8 Video Codec' is recommended.
(If 'Google VP8 Video Codec' is not displayed, check this link )
The Google VP8 Video Codec, also known as VP8, is one of the video codecs developed by On2 Technologies, which was acquired by Google. It is a codec known for its excellent compression ratio, high-quality output, and overall efficiency. The Google VP8 Video Codec is automatically installed during the installation of RecurDyn. (Supported by RecurDyn V8R5 or later versions).
Although it is not possible to create a video file using the codec specified by the user, a high-quality video file can be obtained with the built-in Google VP8 VFW Video Codec. Also, if you adjust the detailed options, you can obtain a higher-quality video.
