When using RecurDyn or MBD for ANSYS, sometimes it may not run due to licensing-related issues.

This is the check list you can refer to.

  1. Please read the license error message carefully. usually, it includes very useful information, such as:
    • Cannot find license file No such feature exists.
    • license is already expired.
    • Feature has expired.
  2. Please check if the license server is ON.
  3. Please check if the port number of the license server is properly applied to 'RecurDyn License Manager'.
  4. Please check if the license file is in the valid directory.
    • You need to have access permission.
    • The file path must be written in English
  5. Please check if the physical address and hostname applied to the license are the same as the PC on which RecurDyn will be used.
  6. Please check the license expiration date.
  7. Please check if the license type is Floating or Node-locked.
  8. Please check if the RecurDyn features you want to use are included in the license.
  9. Some laptop users have reported licensing issues. If your PC or laptop has both an Ethernet adapter and a wireless LAN adapter, problems sometimes occur. In that case, please check the items below.
    • Confirm the currently used physical address (whether it is the address of the Ethernet adapter or the wireless LAN adapter).
    • Deactivate adapters unrelated to the license and run RecurDyn.
    • Deactivate Bluetooth and run RecurDyn.
